The Rolex Explorer has been a constant force in the Rolex sports watch line-up since the 1950s. In the early 1990s Rolex introduced the sapphire glass 14270 Explorer with applied 3-6-9 numerals, where before they had always been painted, as the last of the vintage style Explorers with tritium dials, drilled lugs and numbered endlinks.
This example has clean looking tritium lume in the hour markers and the hands.
The glossy dial is in perfect condition.
The 36mm case remains in really outstanding condition and benefits from having the vintage-esque drilled lug holes.
This Explorer is fitted with a reference 78360 Oyster bracelet with a clasp stamped ‘P 3’ and 580 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
