The Patek Philippe Ellipse is a very cool watch and something that we have loved for some time now. Launched in 1968, the Ellipse watch was designed using the 'divine proportion' or 'golden ratio', a mathematical formula celebrated for its aesthetically pleasing harmony and balance found in masterpieces like Da Vinci's Mona Lisa and the Great Pyramid of Giza. This principle, evident in art, design, architecture, and even nature and the human body, underscores the Ellipse's unique shape, which is neither round nor square, but perfectly balanced !
This example remains in fantastic condition with a lovely blue soleil dial without lume and Sigma markings, indicating that the hour markers are solid gold. The watch comes with its original guarantee paper stating sale in 1993 Germany. This lovely Ellipse comes on an original used Patek leather strap that is fitted with a Bulang and Sons buckle. The calibre 240 automatic movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
